Media performs very constructive role.It raises awareness about many social issues like corruption,terrorism,drug addiction and violation of human rights.It has also become a mouthpiece of the downtrodden.

Q2:What are the two major means of communication?

The two major means of communication are print media and electronic media.Electronic media includes film, radio, television, mobile phones and internet.Print media includes newspapers, magazines and books.

Q3:How does media provide entertainment ?

Media provides entertainment in various forms such as films, dramas, news, talk shows, documentaries, current affairs,game shows and music shows.We watch different interesting and informative programmes on television and read about interesting events in newspapers.

Q4:What happens when media is allowed to play its role unchecked?

If  media is allowed to play its role unchecked,it may spread false news and reports which prove harmful for society and individuals.It may create violent behavior and negative feelings in the mind of audience.Over exposure to media can also damage physical health.

Q5:What is the difference between electronic media and print media?

Print media is the means of mass communication through which information is delivered in printed form,(books,magazines,newspapers)and Electronic media is one in which electronic energy is employed to convey information to the audience(television,radio,internet).
